 Cysteine is a semi-essential amino acid that we must get from our diets. N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine, or NAC, provides a direct source of cysteine and is known most notably for its ability to support immune health. NAC is required to make glutathione, one of our body’s most important antioxidants. It can help to relieve respiratory conditions such as bronchitis by reducing inflammation and loosening mucous that can constrict air passages.
